Compress Video
Shrink a video by lowering its resolution — no uploads.
Runs entirely in your browser using native recording — nothing is uploaded. Output is WebM (plays in all modern browsers and on YouTube, Instagram, etc.). Processing plays through the clip once, so a 2-minute video takes about 2 minutes. Works best in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on desktop.
How it works
Shrinks a video by scaling it to a smaller resolution and re-encoding to efficient WebM, natively in your browser. Lower resolution means a smaller file — 50% is a good balance for sharing. The clip plays through once while it records the smaller version. For frame-accurate professional compression a desktop app like HandBrake goes further, but this covers everyday "make it small enough to send" needs with zero uploads.
