🎞️ Convert Video to WebM

Re-encode any video to universal WebM, right in your browser.

Runs entirely in your browser using native recording — nothing is uploaded. Output is WebM (plays in all modern browsers and on YouTube, Instagram, etc.). Processing plays through the clip once, so a 2-minute video takes about 2 minutes. Works best in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on desktop.

How it works

Re-encodes your video to WebM using the browser's native MediaRecorder — no plugins, no uploads, no giant downloads. WebM is a modern, widely-supported format accepted by YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp and every current browser. An honest note: true any-format-to-any-format conversion (like MP4→MOV or MKV→AVI) needs heavy desktop software; a browser can reliably read common formats and re-encode to WebM, which covers the most common need — getting a shareable, universally-playable file. For other target formats, a desktop tool like HandBrake (free) is the right choice.
